Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center has partnered with Central New York Surgical Physicians to create an innovative weight-loss surgery program. Our partnership allows you access to experienced surgeons in Syracuse while receiving personalized pre- and postsurgical care and support just a short drive from home at CHMC.

A Partnership for Real Success

Find out more about our partnership and how weight-loss surgery can change your life. Attend one of our free weight-loss surgery information sessions, where you’ll learn about:

  • Types of weight-loss procedures
  • Who is eligible for weight-loss surgery
  • Surgery risks and benefits
  • The surgical timeline, from preparation to follow-up care

Each session is led by one of our Syracuse-based bariatric surgeons—Jeffrey DeSimone, MD, or Kenneth Cooper, DO, who will be available to answer questions during and after the seminar. A bariatrics program administrator and a registered nurse trained in bariatrics are also part of the team.

All information sessions are held in the auditorium at
Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, 214 King Street, in Ogdensburg.
